Favorite Images of 2021

Reviewing the photographs of this year, I have realized that they are not my favorites, they are almost the only ones I have taken. I would like to say that this year I will take more photographs, but I think I already said that last year.

In January 2021 releasing my new toy, Lensbaby sweet 35.

Photographing Karma, my nephew’s dog.

Testing the Lensbaby in the wild

A walk in the park, thinking that we were back to almost normal.

Time has shown us that no, we still do not return to normal.

When you start to photograph the silicone tea cup cover, you have to get out of the house more…

Following the practices with the Lensbaby during the summer.

It is not an easy lens to handle.

Shadows are always a good option.

The best of this walk through the Pyrenees, the company.

I do not like this golden and shiny elephant, I have tried several times to get rid of it, but it is a gift from my mother-in-law 🙄

To further accentuate its brilliance, I surrounded it with glossy paper.

It is one of the last photographs I have taken in the year and it is part of a photographic Safari indoors, that I will publish coming soon.

I want to take this opportunity to welcome the new members of the Lens-Artists team, Anne, Sofia and John. Surely you are going to surprise us with a lot of interesting and fun challenges.

  1. Ana, your post made me smile more than once this morning. You are so hard on yourself! Your final comment about the elephant from your mother-in-law made me laugh out loud. Hopefully she either has a great sense of humor or she doesn’t read your blog LOL. Like you, my photography this year was far less than previous years. Here’s to finding our sense of creativity and wonder once more in 2022!

    1. I’m glad you liked it and it made you smile.
The family does not visit the blog, so I am not worried, in addition, I think that, at home, I have already expressed my opinion on the golden elephant several times. 🙄

  2. I love your photos taken with the Lensbaby, Ana. It reminds me to try the one I bought some time ago.
Just when some of us thought we would be back to normal, then… so discouraging.
Hope to see more of your creative photos this year.

    1. Thank you very much, Amy. The Lensbaby is not easy for me to use, but it is true that it can be very creative. I would love to see your photos.
Here now in Spain, as in the rest of Europe, we are again with many infections, perhaps not so serious, since most of the people are vaccinated, but even so it is very worrying. Yesterday they gave me the third dose of the vaccine, but it is not a guarantee of not getting it.

      1. Lens baby is not easy, that’s why I’m avoiding it. 😊
This new Covid variant is not good here in U S though it’s not so serious as the previous one. I had my booster shot in October.

  3. Wonderful selections Ana! I go out once a week with my photo pod. Unfortunately, we don’t travel far, but we do get out. We’ve been doing this since the pandemic started and have stayed healthy. I like your lens baby images. You’ve been very creative with that lens. Here’s too a better 2022. Take care.

    1. I have not gone out with my photography group for more than two years, it is true that before the pandemic we were very inactive. Let’s see if when this returns to normal, we can get back to our walks.
Thank you very much for your kind words, Anne. 😘
      Take care of yourself too.
