Seen Better Days

This rose was not at its best, but for me it was still very interesting and I photographed her for several days, until I swapped the camera for the pruning shears and ended its time…

The weight of time…

They are reluctant to leave the wall that they dressed in green in better times.

Church of Santa María de Gavín. Now the remains of its apse adorn a park, in its best days it was the church of a small town in the Pyrenees, which suffered serious destruction during the Spanish Civil War.
Church of Santa María de Gavín. Its baptismal font, now forgotten in a corner of the park, will also remember better times, when the new inhabitants of the town were baptized in it.

  1. Your forlorn flowers are still lovely as they end their days Ana, we can only hope the same will be true for us! Loved the baptismal font as part of the park – new life for a relic!
