It’s a Wonderful World

This week Amy challenges us with a very beautiful and optimistic song… What A Wonderful World! Sometimes I find hard to see the world so wonderful, but it is certainly the only one we have and we should try to make it so.

I usually listen to a lot of songs that cheer me up. Some of them also talk about a life and a world that is worthwhile.

What beautiful is to live.

(El Kanka)

How beautiful it is to live.
When I look out the window
and see the world in the morning,
my soul is glad.

Pretty (Jarabe de Palo)

Pretty, everything seems pretty to me.
Pretty morning, pretty place, pretty bed.
What pretty looks the sea!
Pretty is the day that has just begun.
Pretty life, breathe, breathe, breathe

Celebrate Life (Axel)

Find yourself a star,
let it be your guide.
Do not hurt anyone, spread joy.
Celebrate life, celebrate life.
That nothing is kept.
That everything offers you.
Celebrate life, celebrate life,
second by second and every day.

Today can be a great day (Serrat)

Today can be a great day where everything is yet to be discovered.
If you use it as your last day to live.
Take your instincts for a walk and vent them into the sun.
And don’t dose the pleasures, if you can knock them over.
If routine crushes you, tell it that is enough of mediocrity.
Today can be a great day, give yourself a chance

I think I’ve had enough dose of positivity for today, but I want to finish with the song that Amy shares.

What A Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong)

I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

It is not every day possible to see the world so wonderful, because it is not always so. We have to accept it like that and try to find the moments of happiness.

  1. I love the lyrics you choose, they cheer up on this beautiful Sunday morning. The glorious sunlight and colorful rose make me smile. These are beautiful set of images. Thank you, Ana!

  2. What an interesting approach to the challenge Ana, and so beautifully illustrated. You’re right of course. It seems every day brings both opportunity and challenges – our job is to try to focus on the former while overcoming the latter. This week is a tough one for me due to some personal challenges but I shall try to remember this too shall pass!

    1. Thank you so much and so much encouragement, Tina. I hope those personal challenges pass soon and the world for you becomes wonderful every day. Although we must know how to live, even when things do not come as we would like, sadness and difficulties are part of this our wonderful world. 😘

  3. lovely images. Yes, celebrate life. There is always, always something to be grateful for. Went back and looked closer at your rose image. Even caught the lines on its petals. Very nice. Donna.

  4. I really like your words and photos – and the opening is my fav – the way the hand is pulling back the curtain and then this “When I look out the window
and see the world in the morning,
    my soul is glad.”
    ahh nice
