It’s been over nine years since I took these pictures in Kinderdijk (Netherlands). Then I was very angry that it came out on such a gray day, raining almost the entire time we were there.
I took very few photos and now when I review them, I feel like I missed a great opportunity to take more photos capturing the atmosphere and the beauty of the landscape.

It is noticeable that my photographic vision has changed over time, what then seemed to me a disastrous day, now would have seemed a great opportunity. Maybe it helps that my current camera doesn’t mind getting a little wet. 😉
Striking. I walked the same beautiful path.

Too bad the weather turned away your enthusiasm. You probably had a day with a few visitors, normally it is more busy there. Well, Rotterdam/Kinderdijk and also Zaansche Schans (north of Amsterdam) are not at the other end of the world for you. So, visit back! I do like the photos you took that day.

Thank you, Chris.
I would love to go back to Holland, but right now that I can’t leave my house more than an hour away, it’s hard for me to think of any other kind of travel. But, I hope this will pass and we will dream again with those desired journeys.

Hi Ana, I was thinking about ‘normal’ times, in which we can embrace the world and the people in it again.
