This photograph was taken some years ago in Cantabria, I watched the people from the pleasant shade of that beautiful tree. Now the shadow in which I hide is another, sadder, heavier, that keeps me away from the people, the Covid Shadow.
Terraces are being reopened in bars and restaurants, with adequate distance between table and table, in most cases. They fill up every day, people waiting for others to rise up to take their place. I’ll take a little longer to reintegrate into social life, I’m not ready yet. 😷
