10x Dunes

The Maspalomas Dunes are sand dunes located on the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria,  in the Canary Islands, they have been protected as a nature reserve since 1987.  They were formed by sand from the bottom of the ocean, when the wind blew the sand towards the coast of the island.

The sand hills have all the appearance of a desert in miniature.  One can wander around these dunes and scarcely see anybody, although some carefree souls seem to love climbing to the very peaks of the dunes.
